For those that didn’t know, I’ve been on a brief career break since exiting as partner and Technical Director at Space 48 back in March, but now I’m looking for the next challenge!

I feel very lucky to have played my 10 year part in Space 48’s journey and wish Jon and all the team the best of luck going forward, I’m sure they will continue to “smash it” with the talented and hard working people they have!

I’m now looking forward to the next chapter and excited about the opportunities out there (despite the weird pandemic world we find ourselves in).

A little about me…

I’m passionate about problem solving and creating pragmatic solutions that empower people and teams to succeed. I believe that software solutions need to satisfy a business need but be designed with a clear business case in mind, meaning solutions should not be over-complicated and have maintainability in mind. It is important to fail fast and prove approaches are viable quickly before over investing time.

Throughout my time at Space 48, I remained hands-on, at times fulfilling responsibilities of both a tech lead and a technical director. I was involved in setting standards, architecture decisions, working with customers, training, R&D, escalation, problem solving and debugging, tech leading projects and mentoring. I evolved and set the developer workflow, worked on complex integrations, also consulting with companies on technical challenges.

I have been heavily involved in the Magento community, speaking at events and being an advocate of efficient debugging practices and automated testing. Resulting in a Magento Master award in 2017.
